The Seashore Door
I decided to take a walk along the shore,
along the way I ran into this strange door.
It looked awfully strange to see this door, standing alone along the shore,
I had no clue what I had in store.
Out of curiosity I opened the door,
and what I saw inside almost made me fall to the floor.
In front of me was a Deep-Sea Angler fish standing,
and his attention was very demanding.
“If you walk through this door,” said the fish.
“Then you’ll have to take the Seashore Door Tour.
You’ll see amazing things that you’d never thought that you’d see,
maybe even an anemone.”
I was definitely surprised at what I saw and heard,
but the whole time I thought that this was all absurd.
I stood there and stared at this oddly placed door,
wondering how and why it got to the shore.
“So are you going to take the tour?
Do you want to explore the seashore and ocean floor?
Come on now, in or out,
if you come it shall be without doubt.”
I walked inside the little door, and stood waiting for more.
The fish closed the door and said “hold on tight.”
I had a feeling that this was going to be a fright.
“Welcome to the ocean floor,
whatever you do, don’t step out that door!”
“If you look to your right you’ll see some fish,
you could call them my cousins if you’d wish.
Oh, and look at the plants over there,
don’t come to close to them, or they’ll give you a scare.”
“Our next destination will be along the seashore,
you’ll see tide pools, exotic creatures, and much, much more.
Look, it’s a starfish in there, and next to it lies some snails, in a pair.
Look even further and see a sea urchin, if you care.”
“I’m sorry this brings us to the end of the Seashore Door Tour,
come back again, and there might be more.”
I woke up right along the seashore, but surprisingly, there was no door.
